What is CVPR?
CVPR describes itself as “the premier annual computer vision event comprising the main conference and several co-located workshops and short courses”, and says that “with its high quality and low cost, it provides an exceptional value for students, academics and industry researchers.” It is the largest yearly meeting point for computer-vision research. The field covers recognition, 3D vision and video as well as generative models, vision-language models and embodied AI.
That makes CVPR more and more relevant to people who build AI agents. Multimodal models, visual agents that operate screens and robots, and world models are all active research areas in computer vision, and many of the methods and benchmarks agent builders use later first appear at venues like this one.

Don’t miss the registration step. CVPR asks you to register the paper (title, authors, abstract) by 10 November, six days before the full PDF is due on 16 November. If the paper isn’t registered by then, you can’t submit it.
What “AOE” means: Anywhere on Earth is UTC−12, the last time zone to reach midnight. A deadline of 10 November AOE ends at 12:00 UTC on 11 November, which is 3 p.m. on 11 November in Amman or 4 a.m. on 11 November in Seattle. Still, plan to finish well before the last hour.
If you are submitting: the last days before the deadline
- Register first, polish later. A title, author list and abstract are enough to hold your place by 10 November. You can keep improving the paper until 16 November.
- Check the author list. Make sure every co-author is entered correctly before registration closes.
- Read the current call for papers. The official call was posted on 3 September 2026. Formatting, page limits and anonymity rules come from that call, not from last year’s, so re-read it on the official site.
- Plan the supplementary separately. Code, videos and extra results are due on 23 November, a week after the paper.
- Put the review dates in your calendar. Reviews arrive on 25 January 2027 and final decisions on 25 February 2027.
Who should go?
- Computer-vision and multimodal researchers presenting papers, posters or workshop work.
- Engineers building vision-language or embodied agents who want to see new benchmarks, datasets and methods before they reach products.
- Students. CVPR itself stresses its value for students, and it is a natural place to meet research groups and labs.
- Skip it if you mainly want production LLM-ops or agent-framework talks. Practitioner events such as AI Council 2027 or AI Engineer World’s Fair 2027 fit that better.
Workshops
The call for workshops was posted on 2 October 2026 and proposals closed on 4 November 2026. Decisions on accepted workshops are due on 23 December 2026. After that, each workshop publishes its own call for papers with its own deadlines. If your work misses the main track, a workshop is often the next best way to present in Seattle, so check back on the official site in the new year.
Tickets, venue and hotels
As of 7 November 2026, CVPR 2027 had not published registration prices, a venue, or hotel information. The help desk lists topics such as registration, lodging and visa letters, but the 2027 details are not out yet. Don’t book non-refundable travel or rooms through third-party “conference housing” sites that contact you. Wait for the official links on cvpr.thecvf.com. We will update this guide when registration opens.
Travelling from abroad? If you will need a US visa, start early. The CVPR help desk handles visa letter requests, so watch for that option once registration opens, and allow plenty of time for your embassy appointment.
