What is GTC Washington, D.C.?
GTC is NVIDIA’s flagship developer and industry conference. The D.C. edition focuses on how SI tools — open models, AI factories, physical AI, high-performance computing and related research — show up in U.S. economic and scientific work. NVIDIA’s FAQ describes a multi-day mix of expert sessions, live demos and hands-on workshops for every technical level.
Topic tracks named on the home page include Agents, Science, Infrastructure, Safety and Security, CUDA and Libraries, Local AI, Open Source, and Physical AI and Robotics. Expect hallway meetups, exhibits, training labs, onsite certification exams and a “Build-a-Claw” activity listed on the pricing page for Conference and Exhibits passes.
Who is it for?
The official pages speak to developers, researchers, industry partners, public-sector professionals and policymakers. The FAQ adds government leaders, scientists and NVIDIA’s partner ecosystem, with a shared focus on real-world examples of SI driving American economic growth, reindustrialization and scientific discovery.
If you build agents, CUDA apps, robotics or on-prem / local AI, the technical tracks are the draw. If you work in government or research, the free government Conference Pass and the public-sector speaker line-up are the practical reasons to go. If you only want the exhibit floor and networking, the $375 Exhibits Only pass is the cheaper path — it does not include in-room keynote seating or the full session slate.
The week at a glance
NVIDIA’s FAQ (checked 6 November 2026) gives this high-level program. A detailed public day-by-day schedule page was not live at /gtc/dc/schedule/ when we checked (404); use the session catalog on the official site once your registration is confirmed. Times below are Eastern Time.
| Day | Highlights |
|---|---|
| Mon 30 Nov | Full-day workshops (separate $395 pass); eight-hour hands-on technical training |
| Tue 1 Dec | Conference & exhibits open; Jensen Huang keynote 2 p.m. ET (arrive early for GTC Live pregame); sessions and exhibits |
| Wed 2 Dec | Sessions, talks, tutorials, training labs, certifications, exhibits and receptions |
| Thu 3 Dec | Final conference and exhibit day (same Tuesday–Thursday package) |
Keynote seating is limited and first come, first served. Conference Pass holders get in-room keynote access; Exhibits Only includes the keynote watch party and the GTC Live pregame watch party, not the limited in-room seats.

Getting there
From the travel and venue page (checked 6 November 2026). Hub address: Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, D.C. 20004.
- Airports: Reagan National (DCA) about 4 miles from the hub; Dulles (IAD) about 30 miles; Baltimore/Washington (BWI) about 35 miles.
- Metro: Federal Triangle Station (Blue, Silver and Orange lines) brings you directly to the Reagan Building — NVIDIA calls this the most convenient option. Metrobus stops on Pennsylvania Ave NW, 14th Street NW and Constitution Ave NW are a 2–7 minute walk.
- Amtrak: Union Station, then Metro Red Line toward the hub area.
- Parking: garages at 13½ Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, and on either side of the building on 14th Street between Constitution and Pennsylvania.
- Visas: request an invitation letter on the registration form after payment; NVIDIA says it emails within a week. If the visa is denied, NVIDIA issues a full refund of the registration payment. See also travel.state.gov.
- Hotels: NVIDIA’s travel page does not list partner hotel blocks or rates, so book on the open market near Federal Triangle / downtown.
Practical tips
- Arrive early for the keynote. In-room seats are first come, first served; the GTC Live pregame runs beforehand.
- Pick the right pass. Need sessions and in-room keynote? Conference Pass. Floor and networking only? Exhibits Only. Deep skill day on Monday? Add the Full-Day Workshop.
- Government and university emails matter. Use them at registration and bring credentials to check-in.
- No refunds now — use substitution. If plans change before 20 November, transfer the badge rather than cancel.
- Multi-venue campus. Budget walking or Metro time between sites; the Reagan Building is the hub, not the only room.
- Can’t travel? Watch the keynote livestream; catch sessions later on NVIDIA On-Demand.
- Register sooner than later. NVIDIA says there is no hard deadline but expects the event may sell out.
